  2. Oops--seems I killed the previous thread. Nice day here, albeit warm. I fihished preparing a bed for planting bulbs (it was a mass of tree and shrub roots, and rather dry, so I started yesterday and watered it well, then finished it this morning). Even though I was working in the shade and it was only 9-10 AM sweat was pouring off me by the time I finished. Shower, bath, change of clothes, nap impending; then an early lunch and off to the Bay Area noonish.

  3. Thanks for the head's up on your last post on the last thread! Soap works some; Tecnu is a miracle well worth investing in if you have poison ivy.

  4. Another gorgeous pic, listener.

Alan, I'm so pleased to hear that Naomi is continuing to do so well. ♥

  5. Donno where the day went. Still have lots to do, but am tired and, though much better than I was last week, still slightly under the weather. This pain in my side won't go away. It's the right side, not the left, so I can't even do my impression of Marvin the Paranoid Android. Oh well, I'll live...I guess. *wry grin*

Tonight Sis and I need to watch our Hitchcock film. This week it's Spellbound, a fav of mine. Don't tell anybody, but we skipped Lifeboat. Sis doesn't like it and it didn't sound all that interesting to me. She's continuing my film education. Friday night we watched Move Over Darling. Gee but I love Doris Day. Can't think why I didn't like her that much when I was a kid. Guess my taste just wasn't that good. Of course, I've always liked Jim Garner. Still like her movies with Rock Hudson best though.

  6. BTW listener, my parents' anniversary is tomorrow. They'll have been married forty years. Sort of an accomplishment for those two. 8) How long will it be for you and your sweetie?

  7. Tecnu was developed in 1961 during the cold war by chemical engineer Dr Robert Smith, as an effective waterless cleanser capable of removing radioactive dust from the skin and clothing. His wife accidentally discovered that Tecnu would cleanse poison plant oils after exposure to poison oak and ivy. Tecnu has become standard-issue in first aid kits of outdoor professionals across the country.

  10. Spent the morning sleeping in (hurrah!) and spent the afternoon volunteering at my son's non-profit, planting rows and rows of seedlings! I brought my camera too, so there will be a nice lot of related photos here after the 4th. So glad you liked today's photo, Cat! :-)

Spending the evening working on greeting card orders and hopefully some quilting too.

Had dreams about Ally last night, and all of them good. The most memorable was waking up in a chair in a room where Ally was also just waking up from a nap. I forget what we did next, but I remember that Ally had to explain the process of it to me and that she was excellent at explaining how to do a procedure. No surprise there, I suppose! Ha! Can't wait to see her next month at our family reunion!

  11. Sounds very good.

For me, though, dreaming that I wake up, even into a good situation, is always disorientating.

  12. Sis goes to the gastrointerologist(sp?) tomorrow afternoon. Please send her good vibes. I fervently hope *this* doctor can find something wrong, so it can be fixed. She keeps seeing doctors and going to the emergency room, and they keep not finding anything. So, a definitive diagnosis of some kind would be really helpful.
