He is one of the locals who strongly encouraged my wildlife biologist son in his early days.

ReplyDeleteSo it's evening and I got coughing some more. Since the cough medicine does nothing for it, I'd stopped taking it. Suddenly I realised that meant I'd stopped taking expectorant too. So I took a dose. Within 5 minutes I was explosively coughing and getting up all this phlegm. Yuk! But I coughed so hard and long that I could hardly breath and barfed a little and it hurt like anything in my groin. So I made a cup of tea and tried to settle down, and got reading about home remedies. I read that for coughs that began with the pharynx, as mine did, clove helps. So I added a quarter teaspoon of ground cloves to my tea and sipped away. Lo and behold it helped! It numbed my tongue a little and possibly my pharynx into the bargain. I am grateful. I also looked it up and found that DaVinci Labs (aka Foodscience of Vermont) DOES make a Vitmain D3 in 1000 IUs, and I am getting some on Friday!
ReplyDeletepuddle, please remind me of the recommended dosage. Thank-you! ♥

COLD. Got my water just at dark, and dumped a couple of containers that were freezing over before the ice broke the containers. Big windy earlier, but that's died down.
ReplyDeleteThe Tree Guys came today, and one of them was a woman. My granddaughters will be so pleased by that. They took down the BIG White Pine and the three huge limbs. Unfortunately, two trees behind them were damaged by the weight of the limbs and were leaning too much to recover. So we had to have a Hemlock and a Fir cut down as well. :-(

I'm glad you only got some wind, and not some trees down!
ReplyDeleteI always feel so badly for the trees.
