Alan...note for you at the bottom of the last thread. :)
Sorry I wasn't around much on Wednesday. Wild day. I've been cleaning out closets big time, and cleaning out an old chest of drawers, sending clothes to Goodwill, and getting rid of dust. We also spent 5 hours with our granddaughter. Then our son came over. Then I did some more sorting and cleaning.
Heading to bed shortly to do more of same again tomorrow, then off to the Book Mine, then home to bake a cheesecake*. Friday brings cleaning and childproofing then off to the annual Volunteers Appreciation event (hence the cheesecake), then home to greet granddaughters from Maine and their parents...coming to stay for the weekend!
Saturday begins with Book Mining, then lots of play time with granddaughters. Sunday is a slightly early birthday party here for Hubby (it's really the 29th, but this is when the kids can come). Lots of fun, though lots of work too.
But here's the big thing: I seem to have a lot of energy this week! Hurrah!! It's amazing to feel good. And I have a cough and slight cold, but still feel good. Amazing.
Under the Wing ♥
* The recipe for the cheesecake I'm making is in the Dean Family Cookbook. Does everybody have a copy? I might have an extra.
Long day, between work and homework. Ran low on will to do any more homework. Will finish it tomorrow evening. (With a bit of luck "work" will be easy tomorrow. More rain today, VERY heavy for a while. Cold--surely there is fresh snow in the mountains. Gorgeous sunset on the way home. TTFN
Been sorta beautifully gray today; sort of pre-rain, but rain not predicted till the weekend, and then three days of *blessed* rain. . . . The sycamores as usual bringing up the rear, lol! But I have so many, it won't really look like spring till they've leafed out.
Computer's been behaving absolutely abominably today. Actually, just one program, but that's the program that allows me to surf. . . . Musta rebooted six or eight times already. Hope this time holds.
LOL puddle! It's called the Chapel and it's cedar, but we got it because the window design resembles the design in that big window we got last Fall. It hangs outside that window.
Man, I'm sooo tired tonight! Gotta go make the cheesecake.
Just wanted to come by and tell you that in the mail today I got back the card I sent Charlie at the jail, just before he was released. It was stamped with a generic notice saying it was opened in error as that inmate is no longer incarcerated. The funny thing is that it doesn't look like it was opened at all.
Howard Dean is always FIRST!

Wonder why they didn't just forward it to *him*? Ah, the ways of law enforcement. . . .
