We had a harp concert at the Library on Sunday.
One of the harpists took lessons with my daughter
from a famous harpist named Tina Tourin.

Well, Howard's first here, same as always. . . .
ReplyDeleteBBB (in fact, the whole site) has been out for 24 hours, now. Hope they're okay, and their building is still standing? listener? know anything?
ReplyDeleteI adore harp music. But especially so when I can see it being made.
ReplyDeletepuddle, there were lots of peeps at my grandma's house. I loved them, but I can still remember cringing the whole time grandpa mowed. I just *knew* he was chopping up a tree frog here and there, and I hated the thought.
Just got an email from Howard, who's putting the bat back up. . . . Except that the site still down (I even rebooted, pain that *that* is to see if somehow it was just me). Those poor boobs.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think they're called *tree* frogs for nuthin', lol! But I spect you're prolly right. Mine are just across the river in a marsh that's making itself. I get about three months worth from the first hardy pioneer at equinox to the last die hard towards solstice.
ReplyDeleteWow. I just got banned for three days from posting at my dating site. Don't have a clue as to why. A relatively new moderator has been tearing the town up. Some peeps just don't seem to be able to handle power. But I still don't have a klew as to what he thinks I did. And I'm guessing I'll never know. . . .
ReplyDeleteThe site is back up, puddle!
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I'm not sure it was down.

Maybe you're just too hot, puddle. ;~)

I think you deserve an explanation!
Well, there was a strange smoke trail in the sky tonight as I was headed home from work. LOL!
ReplyDelete(Looked like a missile had fired.) But I think the BBB is up and running fine. Not sure what you're referring to.
Some places are just weird. Huffington Post deletes every single comment I make, and I didn't cuss or nothin'. The only ones they ever leave up are my replies to others. So most of the time, unless especially outraged, I just don't bother.
ReplyDeleteI got called in to work this afternoon as a coworker is out sick.
ReplyDeleteI only had to work a half shift, though, so it was kind of fun.
But we didn't have our granddaughter here today because of that
and because her Mom is sick too. Something is going around
that feels like a double ear infection, with a mean cold and today
a patron at the Library told me it lasts three weeks, unless you get
an antibiotic. So, if your ears start hurting, folks, go to the doc!
We are hoping that everyone is well so that we can see ALL THREE
granddaughters here on Sunday! :~D ♥♥♥
I've never posted at Huffington Post because doing so requires figuring out a visual thingy that is beyond my visual acuity. Or else an auditory thingy that calls for better ability to filter out background noise than I've ever possessed.
ReplyDeleteWell, you didn't miss much, Bill. Usually it's just the same ten things said over and over by different people. Except, of course, when somebody absolutely brilliant (like me) posts something. And since nobody ever gets to read it I can declare my comments there brilliant without fear of contradiction.
ReplyDeleteBless you! Using your links, I got back on. Since around three yesterday, all I could get was a message: OOPS! Something went wrong. We've been notified, and will look into it. That's after rebooting, CCleaning, etc. But it does look like you're right: the threads are small, but there.
ReplyDeleteSo strange!!
ReplyDeleteI learned the art of posting a link from the BEST:
Thou! :-)
FYI ~
ReplyDeleteSo, Ally started her shots today (I assume) and next week she'll have her first round (5 days) of 3f8 antibody treatments in NYC.
Here is how it works:
"A person's immune system makes antibodies to attack germs such as bacteria or viruses, but it will not attack neuroblastoma because the tumor is part of our own bodies. An antibody that attaches to neuroblastoma can be made in a laboratory and then given intravenously to a patient. This antibody will circulate in the bloodstream until it finds and attaches to a neuroblastoma cell. And then the patient's own immune system will attack and kill that neuroblastoma cell."
