Are you sure you were hacked or could you have just been spoofed? That happened a lot for a while.
We were thinking that if ALL of us have Facebook accounts, and if we all wanted to, we could start a secret Facebook group. A secret group can only be seen by the members. So it would just be us, and no one else could see our group. The reason for doing it is that we could all share photos and links equally. But this style group has served us well, and we sure wouldn't want to alter our friendships.
nordy, if you think it a good idea, we could give it a try. But would you need to start another account? Would you even be willing?
Safely home from Maine! The kitties are doing great. And the very last Monarch butterfly emerged yesterday at our neighbour's house. We retrieved said butterfly when we got home, because it's been too cold here for the butterfly to be able to fly! So for a couple days it has been sipping nectar and waiting for warmth. Since that won't happen here until Tuesday, we have decided to drive the poor butterfly a little bit south tomorrow to slightly warmer temps. Should do fine from there.
I have a Facebook account. I've been ignoring it recently but need to get back on Facebook to market my upcoming book. I don[t really see the purpose of a secret Facebook group, however.
Yes, at very least it would be good to have a backup plan for if Blogger becomes unwieldy. But it would also be beneficial if we could all post photos and post links more easily than here.
Thanks for the suggestion about an author page. That's for after the book comes out. I was thinking of an independent URL webpage, not nothing says I can't have both.
I somehow ended up with 2 faceboook accouunts, both of which have been hacked. -- nordy

DeleteW.A., Blogger has been acting up lately, which is why Listener floated the idea of a Facebook group.
DeleteAs to marketing your book, it might bee worth considering creating an author page, rather than using your regular personal page.
