“Two Georgia election workers who won $148 million in damages from former Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani last year asked a judge Wednesday to find him in contempt for repeating debunked claims about them,” the Washington Post reports. ---Alan
Social media has become quite toxic. The trump voters - mostly male - are out doing their obscene victory dance and trotting out all the anti-Democratic themes. The level of ignorance and the ignoring of reality that is revealed is staggering. It is pretty ugly. But in a year I know all those chest-beaters will be crying the blues, “I didn’t think he’d hurt *me*, wah, wah, wah. I’ll stick around for the Find Out portion of the program.~Susan
This evening we went shopping at a nearby supermarket. They have installed a low and unobtrusive one-way gate inside the entrance that forces anyone with a shopping cart to exit through the checkout stands. Even without a shopping cart, one would be hard pressed to get over the gate with a bag of groceries. Whether the gate is a response to something that happened at that store or not I didn't ask. I strongly suspect that partially prepared foods (the descendants of the TV dinner) have become so ubiquitous that many people have forgotten (or never learned) how to cook economically for themselves. When I was in graduate school I was able to cook for myself (and even indulge in a restaurant meal once in a while) for the equivalent of one hour's work at the federal minimum wage. That involved foregoing meat and store-bought bread, and changing from rice to cracked wheat (I don't know what has become of the corn grinder I used to crack the whole wheat; it was similar to this) [Click] ----Alan
We went to VT*Grand's high school play tonight: Anything Goes. They did a great job with some very talented voices! VT*Grand opted to be on the tech crew, and her role tonight was to run the curtain (lots of set changes) and keep the microphones working correctly. They wanted her to play a lead, but she declined because she is also rehearsing to solo in an opera...! Only 3 students from her school were chosen for the opera, so it's a big deal. Professional opera singers and trainers work with high school kids from all over the state and they will perform together at VT*Grand's school in December. We can't wait!

Delete☃️It’s a start!
Snow started overhight; seems to have ended around noon, although the online prediction said it would last until 6 p.m. Looks like maybe 2-3 inches,

ReplyDeleteMatt Faetz has withdrawn as DT’s AG pick.
One down!
* Gaetz (but you knew that)
DeleteGaetz most likely withdrew because all his dirt was hacked and will likely be revealed. ~Susan
ReplyDeleteI think he withdrew because it was obvious he would never be confirmed.
