💛💛 50th Party Day! 💛💛

Today, listener and Wil will be gathering with the whole family at this restaurant, across from the Bay where they sail, in celebration of their 50th Anniversary.  It's when everyone could get together.
They'll have the restaurant to themselves (outside and inside) for 4 hours!
Hoping for an all-Family Photo!

  1. "Documenting a war is not terrorism"; it's journalism."
Common Dreams is reporting that a Palestinian journalist on Thursday pressed a U.S. State Department spokesperson to characterize the killings of two Al Jazeera journalists by Israeli forces as summary execution.

The heated press briefing followed an airstrike on Wednesday that killedAl Jazeera reporter Ismail al-Ghoul and cameraman Rami al-Rifee, and sparked global outrage. Israel's military acknowledged targeting al-Ghoul, saying he was "eliminated" because he was a Hamas "terrorist," an allegation the Qatar-based network said was "baseless."

The death toll of Palestinian journalists and media workers now stands at least 108, including several intentionally targeted by Israel forces, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). --nordy

  3. Video: Trump’s Handlers YANK HIM Off Stage As He SELF-DESTRUCTS [Click] So it wasn’t my imagination! And it is deleted even from this video! Maybe someone threatened anyone who dared to show it? Or they self-censored?

    1. I described it to Sis as being like the hook on The Gong Show,, remember that? In this particular case, I found it very amusing.

  6. Maybe I'm mean spirited, but I'm really enjoying all the rehashes and critiques of Trump at the NABJ. Here's another:

  7. The Guardian: Name-calling and hyperbole: Trump continues fear-mongering fest at Georgia rally [Click] “Ex-president touched upon a range of topics from crime to immigration in his speech with mostly made-up statistics.”

The contrast between Trump and Harris in the space was stark. Harris’s multiracial crowd Tuesday was peppered with the pink and green of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority sisters. Red Maga hats and Trump mug shots – or the now-iconic shot of his fist in the air after the assassination attempt – dominated the mostly white sea of support for Trump.

Trump opened up his appearance in Atlanta lying about the Harris event in the same place, falsely claiming that people left the event early and that there were empty seats. Both events packed the room.

Notably, the upper stands began to empty out about an hour into Trump’s comments.
