  1. I’m a bad guy; one of m first thoughts after waking up was whether this might be the day The Great Orange One gets tossed into the mini-slammer. So far no such news detected, but the day is young. Among related items:

    1. I wouldn't think he's the type to do that. They'll be hauling him off to Leavenworth and he'll still be howling "Unfair!"

    2. I agree that he isn't the type; "Razors are sharp, rivers are damp" etc. But it does have some Wall Street tradition behind it. Which reminds me that an explanation of the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa emerged lately; just one guy's word, so who knows. Body cremated at mob-associated crematorium and ashes disposed of somehow or other.

  7. It's been ome day. Very glad that DT is still looking like the total creep he is.

Had my Mini in the shop week before last for inspection and it needed a shield added, to the tune of $500. It got the needed inspection sticker...yay! But! Two days later my check engine light came on again. We gave it a little time but it didn't go out. SO it was back to the shop. Therefore, my day began with hearing (moments before a meeting) that my Mini Cooper needs a new radiator to the tune of $1700...!! Thud. II asked to hear what they'd offer me in trade in value. It's 7 years old, but only has 67K miles. I opened my computer for the Zoom meeting thinking "RIP Mini." Then the person I was to meet with sent me a note that she needed to postpone as she had lost her car keys and had to take someone to an appointment in a short while. So, I got to talk it over with Wil and we decided it's still cost wise to have the car fixed, as that's still less expensive than a car payment and we do still have reasons for needing two cars at times. Then!! Wil got in a request for work (he writes software) that will bring in [wait for it] ... $1700. So we laughed in relief and amazement and the Mini will live to drive another day.

Went over to Loch Nest and finished the interior cleaning, then Wil and a friend of his from college (two engineers) revamped how the tiller attaches and it's much more secure.

I'm tired, but feeling okay about how the day transpired and ended. So, on to tomorrow!

    1. That's certainly a good coincidence; but what is the "shield"?

  9. I can't locate it at the moment, but flipping through the news I saw that Sergei Shoigu, the commander of the Russian armed forces, was not present on the reviewing stand for the Moscow Victory Day parade. Shades of the Soviet Union.
