Our predicted low temperature tonight is 54F. When the clouds lifted for a bit early this afternoon, we could see snow on the mountains, and we could sure feel it. Sketching at a coffee shop/bakery tomorrow morning. ----Alan
Hallo dear friend!! ❤️ We all have been holding you in the Light. ✨ You'll want to skip back about two threads and scroll for our notes to you. But first...we'd love an update. Hoping so much that equilibrium is coming home to visit you and that you're getting all the TLC you need. Hoping Howard T. Bear has been especially huggable. 🧸
Got the RSV vaccine yesterday. Stung like a couple of bumble bees, but just have a mildly sore arm. This makes my 5th vaccine this past year. Had Pneumonia (#2), Covid booster, Senior Flu, Shingrix x 2, and now RSV. I feel rather like a pincushion! I have to wonder...with all these vaccine doses since the start of Covid, is this what has revved up my immune system the point where my body now over-reacts to allergens? Prior to Covid, I had never ever had an allergy and my immune system was found to be too wimpy to react to allergens.
There is a Facebook group called VT Roads on which local folks report issues on the roadways, from accidents that will slow or stop traffic to dangerous drivers to weather alerts to a dog loose on the interstate. Today someone posted that she was nearly broadsided by someone blasting through a red light and that four police cruisers came along behind. Someone else explained that a car had just been stolen in the next town over, matching the same description. Then it was reported that the police had the person in custody.
Amazing how quickly the information comes together. In the event of the dog on the interstate, it was due to a car accident the dog had run from. Reporting the location of the dog helped folks find the dog and reunite it with the owner.

An acquaintance of mine (for over 40 years) died Tuesday night. Her 79th birthday would have been Wednesday. Tomorrow is her husband's birthday. They were married 53 years ago this coming Tuesday. It's a lot to process...!
On this extremely cold morning, in the single digits, a 400ft barn in Vermont, housing 500 cows, caught fire. The barn was fully engulfed when the fire department arrived. The farmer and neighbours got all but 5 or 6 of the cows out safely. Then farmers began showing up from all over the area, with their trucks, to take some of the cows home with them, so that they would have shelter. This is what makes Vermont wonderful. Community comes together after barn fire forces hundreds of cows into cold
I have my nice wollen gloves, but I don't really need them because I put my hands in my pockets. OTOH, I lost my headband somewhere between arriving at the library and leaving the restaurant. I hope I have another somewhere.
Headband? In addition to a hat, to cover the ears? I have long thought an ushanka would be great for really cold weather, but a watch cap has been plenty for anywhere I have lived. ----Alan

It got at least some play when Dean was DNC chairman. And I went to Indiana to campaign for Obama.
