Alan: I would appreciate your take on the California Senate race. Porter looks attractive, but I recall you quoting Lee's slogan. How would you rate them? (Oddly, I haven't heard from Lee since she announced.)
I have no problem with any of the candidates. The guy is from the Los Angeles exurbs and I don't know much about him. Porter looks good, but I like Lee more. But Barbara Lee is as old as I am, which could be a bit of a problem-- but she has truly earned the nomination IMO. So I will probably vote for Lee at least in the primary. California being California, probably the two candidates who make it to the runoff will both be Democrats. My first choice would be Lee, second Porter, and third the guy. ----Alan

Thanks Alan. I'm inclined to accept your judgement here. I knew a bit less about Lee than about Proter, but what I did know sounded good.
