Feeding on a Frosty Day

  1. 4PM, time to quit gardening. Wind came up, clouds formed, and temperature fell in the afternoon as predicted, Looks like the weatherpersons are right about rain coming. We planted some naked ladies, stuffed vine cuttings into the green-top trash can on top of the persimmon tree prunings (that's one heavy trash can), and sprayed plum, peaches, and cherries with sulphur. The national weather map seems to show very wintry weather back east; everybody stay warm, and safe if you must travel!

    1. Yes, we're expecting about 15" of snow on Thursday. It's very good news, because we are below normal on precipitation this season. No traveling for us, and we have all the groceries we need already (ahead of the rush). Eldest and VT*Grand are headed to Boston during that blizzard, though, as they have tickets to see Hamilton!

  2. I've been very impressed with President Biden the last few days. It's such a relief to have him as President for this struggle with Russia and not DT...! I'll add that it was also a relief to hear, after Putin's nuclear rattling, that they are basically still complying. Hopefully that's the product of saner minds in Russia and not just a cover for some imminent action. But, d'y'know, I'm very sure that Biden took all the possibilities into account before he gave his speeches. We definitely have ways of keeping watch on such potential activity.
