The bit about searching for signs of ancient life in the mine to help us understand Mars is also dandy. As for string theory, that had previously been completely obscure to me. I have noted with interest stories about Tesla's self driving mode not being able to understand and deal with emergency vehicles or marked construction zones. ---Alan
WOW! Getting close to sundown here, and I looked to the northeast--SNOW ON THE FOOTHILLS! We haven't seen that in I don't know how long. They can't rule out a little snow on the valley floor. Several highways over the mountains closed or soon to be closed, roads to resort areas being kept open by snowplows. They say the current storm is the coldest in Southern California since WWII! ---Alan
