  1. Via Guardian live wire:

Reuters reports the frontline in eastern Ukraine is approaching the borders of territory claimed by the self-proclaimed pro-Russian separatist Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR). That is according to Andrey Marochko, a senior LPR military commander who has spoken to Russian news agency Tass.

Russian forces have ordered that the mobile internet be cut off in the Russian-occupied Luhansk oblast on Wednesday, Serhiy Haidai, governor of Luhansk oblast, said on Telegram.

    1. The situation all along the front lines is unclear, but there are reports from various sources that Ukraine continues to push Russians back in the Kherson region. It is an agricultural region, with canals that can be used as defensive positions.

  5. I keep hoping for a dull day, but no luck today. We ended up taking Spinnaker kitty back to the vet, as she was having symptoms of a resurge of the UTI she had a couple weeks ago. Turns out she has no infection, no inflammation...but something is causing her discomfort and blood in urine. No kidney stones palpated and initial X-rays were inconclusive. So now we're waiting on the reading by a radiologist of the specialised X-rays, because something was seen in or on her bladder. the most likely possibilities are tiny kidney stones or bladder cancer. We are, of course, hoping for the stones, since those can be dealt with by diet and meds. 🤞

    1. There's also a kind of cystitis that is exacerbated by stress, which can be helped with a special diet and meds. That would probably be the best outcome.
