  1. Got this up 10 minutes late and managed to delete two blank drafts by Renee in the process. Sorry, Renee!

  2. Cat sent me a message tonight and I posted it on the last thread. She's having trouble getting in too. But, she had some good suggestions of other places we might gather if Blogger doesn't sort itself out soon. Are all of you on Word Press? I am, though would probably make a new Word Press name for the blog, if it allows that.

  3. I tried to make a WordPress account with my blog name. However, since I already use my email address for a WordPress account, it won't allow me to make a new account. I'd have to ditch my current account to make a new one, but then couldn't post anywhere else. Not sure what my recourse is, but I'm thinking.

  4. So, just incase, I made an account at Live Journal. Only...someone else has the name "listener." So I tried to use listenerVT and it took it as listenervt. Sigh. I tried to edit my profile, but that didn't quite work. I'll have to think about it. I could always ditch this attempt and start over, I suppose.

  7. It works OK on my older computer using an outdated version of Google, but not on this somewhat newer computer using Firefox. Tomorrow I will try to find my old login. Have tried using my Google account, but it doesn't seem to work automatically. Will look up password tomorrow.

    1. Yes, but yesterday's reading of the tomato transcript is not to be missed. Poor Donald is really afraid of flying fruit.

  9. Hannah Blog is on Word Press. However, I do not allow comments because of the spam they attract. When Word Press upgrades it tends to re-activate commenting with approval. Getting riid of five thousand comments takes a lot of time. Anyway, Hannah Blog will be 20 next year.

  10. In sworn deposition, Trump says he has real concerns about being killed by a piece of fruit. [Click] “Pineapples, tomatoes, and bananas are “dangerous stuff” that could take a person’s life, the ex-president testified.” When deployed as missiles, that is. He wasn’t questioned about cream pies.

  11. Testing. I have been confused by people saying Bloffer refreshes too quickly for them to post. In my experience, Blogger only refreshes after I post or when I hit F5. Maybe it's different when you're in Comment? So I'm going to start typing and then wait five minutes before hitting Publish. FWIW, I'm on a PC using Google Chrome.
    ...
I think five minutes are up.

    1. I'm on a PC using Google Chrome too. And it drops my comments might swiftly. I regularly "select" and "copy" what I've written so far, as I type, so when it disappears I don't have to start from scratch.

  13. Naomi took her 2010 Honda Fit (made in Japan) in for routine service a couple of days ago, and they said it would be a good idea to replace the battery--not absolutely necessary, but not a bad idea. She didn't remember if she had replaced it before, so this morning I took a look at it, and it sure looked like it was the original--made by Bosch. Twelve years is unheard of around here, with our hot summers.

    1. Most of its 12 years were spend in the San Francisco Bay Area, so considerably cooler than Fresno.

  15. Yesterday I was reading about the current median prices of houses in Fresno. They jumped up during the Covid remote working period, and gained 21% this past year. But something else attracted my attention--the prices relative to the SF Bay Area. Historically, Fresno prices move back and forth between about half and a third of Bay Area prices, as memory serves me. But now a house in Fresno is a *quarter* of the Bay Area price.

    2. I remember an old story about a couple who sold their house in the Bay Area and decided to move to Fresno. They asked a realtor what kind of house they could buy in Fresno for what they cleared from their former home, and the realtor told them they couldn't buy a house in Fresno for that--but they could buy two houses.
