Oh joy—we are in the news again, now worldwide: Central California braced for Thanksgiving surge in Covid cases [Click] “Statewide infection rate is one of country’s lowest but in region resistant to masks and vaccines hospitals are over-capacity.” And people are traveling for Thanksgiving on a large scale.
Our Covid test results came back negative. So now we feel free to be with family tomorrow and hug even the littlest grands. ALL the adults who will be present have had their booster shots, the three eldest grands have had two doses, the next three oldest grands have had their first shot, so it's just the two littlest who have been allowed yet. Apart from that, we all live near enough to drive there and back again in the same day. So aside from a careful pit stop, no other contacts.

DeleteI think if I had to pick just ONE kind of pie, it would be home made cherry pie (made with dark, sweet cherries, not that junk in a can).
ReplyDeleteI like all kinds of pie. I am perhaps particularly fond of key lime pie, but pecan pie reminds me of home.
DeleteWith Bill here--Key Lime is my all time fave (followed by mince.)
DeleteOh, yes--an upvote for mince here. Particularly as a winter pie.
