  2. George W. Bush: "We have seen growing evidence that the dangers to our country can come, not only across borders, but from violence that gathers within," Bush said on Saturday at the 9/11 memorial site in Shanksville, Pennsylvania during a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the Sept 11, 2001 attacks.

". . . violent extremists abroad and violent extremists at home ... are children of the same foul spirit, and it is our continuing duty to confront them."

    1. He's a fine one to talk, it seems to me.

    2. I would certainly not say he ever supported violent extremism. You can definitely condemn him for adopting the nation-building strategy he campaigned against, but that's a different matter.

    3. I am inclined to consider the war on Iraq violent extremism. Others may differ.

    4. If we hadn't gone into war with a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, then there wouldn't have been as much fodder for recruiting violent extremists. ISIS and the Taliban are both stronger today because of that massive, misguided blunder (if it can even be called a blunder).

    5. Yes, different definitions of "violent extremists." My definition excludes governments.(ISIS is a borderline case. It presented itself as a government.)

  3. Bush was another Electoral College-appointed disaster. He, like trump, is a very stupid man and was easily led by warmongers looking for profit.

    3. I didn't bother verifying it because it came from the woman who claimed space lasers of the Rothschild's caused the CA forest fires.

  5. From coffee to microchips – how the supply chain crisis is disrupting UK business. [Click] Oh, and there is also that little matter of Brexit chasing off those foreign workers. But global Britain!

  7. Had a very nice day with family today. Root*Center*Son, Eldest and VT*Grand met us at a really nice little orchard. It's so small that 4 or 5 apples trees together might offer 3 or 4 different kinds of apples. That sure made picking easy! Ha! They also had cider, cider donuts, apple pies, creamees, jams and lots more. I got some peach jam to bring home, and we bought a pie to share. Yum! There were picnic tables well spaced, so that helped.
