  1. Did you all see the clip about the overloaded C-17 plane whose skeleton crew allowed hundreds of Afghans to climb aboard, then flew them out of the country quickly?

I am heartglad to hear that the crew was not only NOT reprimanded for taking so many on the fight (and just anyone who came aboard), but they are already back there flying more people out.

I LOVE that they were not only not reprimanded, but are being honoured for their quick thinking and for following the Commander's INTENTION of getting people out safely. Hurrah!!

  2. A question that popped into my head reading the last thread: Does anybody know why so many of the media are talking about "jabs" rather than the usual "shots?" That would be a turn-off for me.

    1. That is the British colloquial term; why it should have taken off here I know not. Rather odd.

    1. I give up sugar every year for at least three months. My experience has been that I think about sugar a lot in the first few days as if my brain is trying to remind me to eat some. It has become a habit and expected, and needs to become unexpected again. It can take up to two weeks for my brain to stop asking for it. But then it becomes a lot easier to not be consuming sugar. I don't experience any of the other symptoms mentioned in the article. But I do like sugar and I end up saying to my brain: "Want." then: "Won't."

And now to pull some weeds before sundown. Good Gravy! Temp = 86F, AQI = 61.

    1. I don't care what the alleged AQI was, when I stepped outside about 6:45 PM, I could smell smoke. So I put on an N95 mask and was not bothered by it. I quit a little after 8PM/sundown, when I couldn't tell weeds from non-weeds; the moon was orange.

    2. P.S.: the moon was roughly at the zenith.

Today was my last day on Gabapentin, the legs are already noticeably better, though far from perfect. My terror that the piriformis would return has not occurred as I tapered off, and no side stuff beyond some joint crap, aware of but not big.
