    1. Most interesting technical aspect: thanks to modern communications and computers, a small organization is now capable of building an optical telescope with an aperture equal to the diameter of the earth. That being the case, it should be perfectly possible for them to identify artificial satellites circling other worlds without having to depend on government agencies.

    2. As does the general disorganization in their ranks. And I realized that I did not know the etymology of "bode," so I looked it up:

      Bode \Bode\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. Boded; p. pr. & vb. n.
Boding.] [OE. bodien, AS. bodian to announce, tell from bod
command; akin to Icel. bo?a to announce, Sw. b[*a]da to
      announce, portend. [root]89. See Bid.]
To indicate by signs, as future events; to be the omen of; to
      portend to presage; to foreshow.
      [1913 Webster]

  4. What Drives Belief In Conspiracy Theories? [Click] Elliot Morris: “Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) and others have argued that a decline in religiosity in America has left people vulnerable to the false spiritual satisfaction of conspiracy theories and sectarianism, for example in QAnon.”
“But we find the opposite. The least religious are the least credulous.”

    1. Rather late arriving, but if it weren't for the last minute lots of things would never get done. Lots of other political stuff going on, particularly related to Capitol invasion and Speaker of the House walking all over Minority Leader. With spike heels, I hope.

    2. Alas, it will probably be quite some time before the alcohol and drug tests are done and find their ways into the newspapers. Of course, I suppose he could have had a mild stroke or a transient ischemic attack.
