I’ve been recuperating from a week of visitors, and doing a lot of catch up. I still need to add front page photos for coming days, and plan to be around a bit more.
i was eradicating weeds by hand, baiting mousetraps, planning my next drawing, testing some mew water-soluble colored pencils, and not seeing much in the way of actual gnus.
There is really not much incentive to stay healthy. The tendency is to be ignored until a health crisis prompts prayers and get well cards. Some populations get accused of playing the victim card, but that is what gets attention. HAving had COVID and survived it seems to be some sort of status symbol. But then, we have rape survivors, cancer curvirors and holocaust survivors all claiming special attention. Strange.
Doctors are not much help in this area. They tell you to lose 10 pounds and when you do they just tell you to lose 10 (more) pounds. Only once in all my years of eating organic and not needing much by medication has a doctor ever said to me "You're an inspiration!" When do we ever just celebrate the ordinary well done?
Just watched all three years of The Avengers with Diana Rigg. First two years, black and white, with 13 episodes, the third, color and 25 episodes. Cute show. But I think most of the charm for me was that I wanted to BE Diana Rigg. . . . First year of the show, I had a year old toddler. Second, I was pregnant. Third, a newborn. . . . Fourth year, I watched. Then. Remember hardly a thing about it, including being very interested.
90's are pleasant here, but when it starts edging up towards 110 it IS hot, particularly on the south side of our house. Over 110, the best we can hope for is OK in the morning and evening (a breeze helps).
Where is everybody? Only two posts on the last thread and none yet today.
