    1. Yes, Zephyr makes good points. In my opinion Facebook's business model stunk from the get-go. I gave it a very short try with one small group that seemed to have some interest for me, and it seemed worthless, so I quit altogether. It took years, but Facebook seems to have quit bugging me to rejoin. It seems to me kind of like Coors beer; Coors may not treat their workers as badly as they did before the boycott, but their "beer" is still tasteless. Your mileage may differ. . .

    2. I find Facebook useful for keeping up with friends and acquaintances. Also for following groups such as Fans for Accessible Conventions that are relevant to my interests. And the chicago-sf book discussion group uses Facebook as an organizing tool.

  4. Just bought four pairs of pants this week. All blue, mostly navy, one royal. One sweat pants, but strait leg. One fluffy pants, called plazzo pants, and one plain leggings. Won't have to shop again for pants before I die. And-- two really gorgeous sweaters. One beige and knoffy, the other smooth light white ragged edges, big red heart on front. Happy camper.

    1. That line of attack just ENRAGES me. Trying to paint people as lazy rather than admitting to the fact that NOBODY wants to work all day and STILL be unable to afford rent, etc.

    1. puddle, I got some pants too. On sale for $13/pair. The part that makes me giggle is that they were CAPRIS, but since I have shrunk to 4'11" with age and bone loss they fit me just like regular pants. I LOVE that because I HATE having to hem pants.
