It is good that the press is starting to name names. Letting people hide behind party tags is not helpful, especially when the parties are functionally defunct. The major political parties are following the same trajectory as local retail and for the same reason: the failure to provide any service. Retail was detriorating for decades before Amazon arrived on the scene and made it possible to get what they need in short order. I remember ir well. In 2003 I wanted to purchase a transport chair to move my mother (then 96) about more expeditiously. Even though there were three medical supply stores in the community, none had what I was in the market for and I had to order one from the manufacturer. Sears stopped keeping inventory decades ago. Political parties stopped grooming candidates for office decades ago, as well.
What evidence they present will be interesting. There is little question in my mind that the antagonism towards Biden was largely based on his having selected Kamala Harris for VP. However, it is my considered opinion that the antagonism was prompted less by the color of her skin, than her gender. While many people deplore the bahavior onf the Pussy Grabber, when it came to votes, his reputation was perceived as a positive--as was Bill Clinton's abuse of Ms. Lewinsky.
I agree with Hannah. In this case gender is probably more important than race.
As to Alan's point: Maybe. But discussion on CNN this morning opined that any evidence brought forward in the course of the suit would augment that presented by the House managers, increasing the overall amount, depth and quality of evidence. *shrug* I donno. That's just what they were speculating. But surely the more the better.
Washington Post: “The gunman who terrorized a D.C. pizzeria is out of prison. The QAnon conspiracy theories he helped unleash are out of control.”
=========================== USA Today: “States will receive their biggest boost yet in coronavirus vaccine doses this week, a 23% increase over the previous week and a 57% increase since President Joe Biden took office… The White House also announced that it’s doubling to 2 million the number of doses being sent directly to local pharmacies.” ===========================
Miyoko got her first covid vaccination today; I went along as an observer. All worked just fine, and the vaccination site clearly could handle a lot more visitors than they had.
It was great. The questions were intelligent and thoughtful. The questioners were more "on task" than the President...no doubt they were implored to be succinct and keep to the point. Biden was folksy and chatty, but did a wonderful job of being human and easily connecting with each person, as well as giving full responses. He is so the anti-DT we have long wished for.

DeleteThe politico.com story has a link to the lawsuit at the beginning of the second paragraph. [Click] If one grooves on that sort of thing, it makes good reading indeed; much more compact than the video of the house managers’ presentation, and presumably covers the same material.
