    1. Thanks! I’d forgotten I’d planted some of these bulbs. I looked out and some of the jonquils and daffodils had turned peach coloured, so I went out to investigate. Surprise! LOL!

    1. Indeed! Although the mass murderer in Nova Scotia obtained his firearms by covert means. And come to think of it, I believe that such things can be done in Canada by "orders in council," one of the features of 18th Century British government that was purposely deleted in the US Constitution because it was potentially tyrannical. Essentially it gives the PM and his cabinet the ability to enact emergency regulations, subject to later approval or disapproval by the Parliament.

  3. This recaps the past 6 weeks or so.
I post it because it’s such good writing.

    1. Good writing indeed; thanks for sharing. Even I could only find two pickies--Withers for Withers' (which I shall assume is a type louse), and the rather puzzling "siren light." Maybe he means a light that attracts the attention of all who see it? Or something else? It is distracting, at least for me.

    2. Could a siren light be the flashing light of an ambulance?

  6. Will post Ohio numbers later, but wanted to share this from Facebook:

  8. At Camp David, Trump Plots His Pivot to the Economy [Click] “It’s all part of the White House’s broader strategy of shifting its coronavirus message to an economic one — a move the president’s political advisers believe plays more to his strengths [?!] as a former real estate developer.”

A Referendum on Trump [Click] “For some Republicans, the prospect of an election that is almost wholly a referendum on Trump is unnerving. . .He planned to do the same [as in 2016—draw an aggressive contrast] in 2020 with Biden, with the added tailwind of a surging American economy. . .Now, that economy is crumbling around Trump. . . Said GOP strategist Scott Reed: “It’s Donald Trump versus the coronavirus and the [recession/depression]. Biden is a sideshow.”

Sounds like DT is being allowed to pick his poison. In fact, it looks like potato chips—he won’t be able to eat just one.
