  3. 14 years ago today, Eldest and his Bride were wed. It was a beautiful ceremony in a quaint stone church with red doors, with Lilacs on the end of every pew, along the aisle. Very sweet. And their reception site (a small resort) included sheep, a peacock and a pot belly pig. Gorgeous day.

I'm sure glad they didn't have 94ºF weather like today!!

  4. 94 deg. F with the sort of humidity I understand you have back there sure would be unpleasant. They are predicting a record high temperature in the range of 104-107 here today (currently around 100); shortly the humidity will drop into the 13-15% range. We will be doing some gardening and sprinkler repairs around 7-8PM.

    1. We got lucky. The humidity is currently just 35%!
93ºF at the moment. "Feels like 95º"

    2. Didn't he steal at least some from other sources--schools for military dependents, etc.?

    3. He repurposed some military appropriations, including some that had previously been allocated to other things. But the total was much less than he had sought.

    1. Yup!

I’m getting kind of tired of them lumping Vermont in with state’s that are seeing big upticks in cases. We may have had a more than 50% jump in cases, but it’s still single digits!! We have had 13 new cases since last Sunday and no deaths.

A new Keating-Onsight-Melanson poll of likely voters in Colorado finds former Gov. John Hickenlooper (D) is ahead of Sen. Cory Gardner (R) by 18 percentage points in the U.S. Senate race, 54% to 36% with 9% undecided.

  10. It's a hundred and too much outside. We will abstain from gardening this evening. I set out a sprinkler on a dry patch of the back lawn, though.
