Yes, I really liked it--very level-headed IMO. There are so many people psychologically invested in the New Democrat philosophy (well, they haven't known anything else), and they are getting so desperate. Bernie has stuck to his guns for fifty years. Joe continues his lifelong M.O. of claiming devotion to whatever seems politically convenient at the moment, but I doubt many of Bernie's supporters will be fooled by that. I hold to my opinion that if Trump is voted out of office it will mostly be due to the coronavirus.

Susan, you mentioned on the last thread that Lysol is toxic to cats. My sister uses products from The Good Home Company precisely because they are nontoxic.
Earlier today, Sis had a difference of opinion with Mum, a difference of opinion that left Sis very upset. So I went charging in to Mum and handled the situation with spectacular maladroitness. *sigh* Mirabile dictu, things shook out just fine but, boy, do I feel stupid! You know, there's good reason why children, particularly daughters, usually do not continue living with their mothers once they themselves become adults.
Just read that a federal judge struck it down. Primary voting will go on tomorrow, 3/17. Sounds like a good time to lobby for vote-by-mail for the future.
Before Trump’s inauguration, a warning: ‘The worst influenza pandemic since 1918' [Click] “In a tabletop exercise days before an untested new president took power, officials briefed the incoming administration on a scenario remarkably like the one he faces now.” A longish read, nothing surprising for a team of yahoos. But worthwhile IMO. One may reasonably expect that there will be nothing comparable done by the Trumpets for the following administration. If the newbies want such advice, they will have to get it from veterans of the Bush Jr. and Obama administrations.
This is the most recent I've found about the Ohio primary:
"Ohio’s Health Director Dr. Amy Acton will order polls closed across the state as a health emergency, the governor’s office announced just after 10 p.m. Monday, the latest move in a back-and-forth between state officials who want Tuesday’s election postponed and those who don’t."
Yes, different locals of the same unions favor Bernie and Joe in several cases. I see that the Teamsters and ILWU are behind Bernie. I looked for information on my old union, Engineers & Scientists of California Local 20, but don't find any information about them one way or another. I gather that when it comes to health insurance a lot of them want very much to keep what they have fought so hard to gain.

ReplyDeleteVoting is likely to be extended until June 2 in Ohio. It still has to be approved by lawsuit.
