I have received one of my two birthday presents—a previously owned but probably never worn Pendleton wool bathrobe good as new for about a third of the retail price; it must be forty years old if it’s a day, to judge by the style and fabric. I have had two of them in my lifetime, each lasting about thirty years. My other present, a facsimile reprint of The Arm Movement Method of Rapid Writing by C.P. Zaner (1904) [Click] is in transit. The Zaner upper case I, F, L, and T are definitely going to be added to my standard repertoire.
Thank you. I found another hint at the age of the robe in the label--it seems to be from the [early?] 1980's. I've had good luck with eBay over the years.
My friend Vicky in 10th grade had the same birthday. That may help my recall!
Have fun planning ahead. A couple I know do something special for the other every day of their birth month. I find that so sweet, but it also sounds exhausting. 🙂
Crossfire Hurricane review. [Click] “Josh Campbell worked for James Comey – his book is a must-read indictment of the ‘mob boss’ in the White House.” The review alone is enough for me…
Trying to open that Post article yields a screen that informs me I'm in private browsing mode. They thoughtfully explain how to turn off private browsing in Safari, Firefox, Chrome and IE, none of which I use. If I put my mind to it, I might be able to figure out how to turn it off in Sea Monkey, but after spending all afternoon wrestling with iTunes only to end up exactly where I started, the prospect of fighting with Sea Monkey does not appeal.
Thanks, puddle. One reason the robes can last so long is that they have patch pockets, which can [ahem] be used for patches... This one shouldn't need to be replaced until I am past 100 years of age; think I should get a spare?
