His eyes aren’t closing all the way because of fluid build up on his eyeball.

    Unstable blood pressures requiring Epinephrine

We are still very much on the rollercoaster.

    1. This is so painfully heartbreaking.

    2. Ohhhhh, puddle.

My heart aches for you, for Megan, for Tanner. How much can one family bear?

    3. How much can the poor boy's body bear?

    4. I used to work at a children's hospital, and have seen many children survive illnesses that would surely be the end of an adult. But fifteen years seems neither quite one nor the other. I continue to hope for the best.

We’ve had a rollercoaster night and morning. Tanner has a fever. His blood pressures keep dropping and his heart rate suddenly dropped from 130 to 60.
Then I just realized what today is: 2 months since Noah died. 🤢.

Moods of the morning: exhaustion, disbelief, anger, helpless, anxious, worried, sad

    1. FWIW, 60 bpm is a normal heart rate. Let's hope that is a good sign.

    2. I remember you telling us that Tanner wanted it made very plain that he wants to live. My very first thought was that he was saying that so clearly as a beautiful gift to his Mom.

  3. Dead People May Make the Difference In 2020 [Click] The full article is at the Washington Post [Click] This does NOT augur well for the GOP. Using state level data, this analysis concentrates on the Electoral College results.

While rooting around looking for a round hand penmanship textbook, I happened across the book for Zaner’s method. [Click] Seeing it now, I think it looks more like my mother’s handwriting than does the classical Palmer Method. I see several upper case letter forms I could adopt to good advantage. The basic idea is the same as Palmer, but the execution is a bit cleaner looking.

  4. All the grapes we set out to dry have become raisins; since yesterday we have been removing the cap stems and sorting them by size. It is rather tedious work, but one can do other things (like peruse the gnus on the innertubes) at the same time.

    1. Next steps: wash raisins, dry them a bit in the oven, then pack in airtight containers to equalize the moisture.

  5. So, today the F-35 fighter jets began to arrive in Burlington, Vermont. Two came in today; there will be 20. They have the capability to carry nuclear warheads. They are far noisier than the F-16s that have been based here previously.

One flew over my house on the way in. My cats came running to me with their ears back and one was meowing. They weren’t quite as loud as I feared (out here in the country away from the airport). But they were way louder than my kitties were expecting!

People here in Vermont vehemently protested the F-35s from the start. To our dismay, both of our Senators backed having the F-35s here. In addition to the noise and other health issues, consider that having such jets here puts us in greater danger of a nuclear strike...! I am extremely disappointed and angry!! This may even be what causes me to vote for Warren.

    1. The Ultra-Costly, Underwhelming F-35 Fighter [Click] Its readiness for flight is completely inadequate and it can’t do the job of a single one of the planes it is supposed to replace. But it provides a continuing gusher of cash for Lockheed Martin.

    2. Has Warren voted against the F-35 program?
