“How, some Democrats are beginning to ask, do they thwart a 70-something candidate from outside the party structure who is immune to intimidation or incentive and wields support from an unwavering base, without simply reinforcing his ‘the establishment is out to get me’ message — the same grievance Mr. Trump used to great effect?”
“But stopping Mr. Sanders, or at least preventing a contentious convention, could prove difficult for Democrats.” =============================== White House officials concerned about being exposed by Mueller report [Click] He that goeth to bedde wyth Dogges, aryseth with fleas. One would hope that Barr wouldn’t expose them, but he would certainly get an attaboy from his boss for doing so.
I was reading one commentary that sorts the Democratic field into two sorts: those so far dependent upon transferring money from their previous campaign accounts to keep going (Booker, Gillibrand, Klobuchar, Warren) and those raising large amounts online (Sanders, O’Rourke and Buttigieg). Harris seems to be the only one doing both so far. (Bernie started out with a large war chest too, remember.) In terms of expenditures, Warren has the largest and most expensive organization, Buttigieg is concentrating on free mainstream TV exposure, O’Rourke and Harris are concentrating on the early states.
Please help. Disney Wiki, Wikipedia and IMDB all list the grandmother in the film Song of the South simply as Grandmother. But, she has a name. Uncle Remus calls her by it at least twice, Miss 'something'. I don't think it's Dulcy, though it sounds something like that. I've listened and listened. Pretty sure the problem is not James Basket's enunciation but rather my increasingly dull hearing. It's driving me batty, not only on general principle, but because having Grandmother's name would be helpful for the quiz I'm writing on the film. If anyone remembers Grandmother's name, please let me know.
Searching duckduckgo.com for the string: what is the name of the grandmother in "song of the south"? I found this web site: http://www.disneyquotes.com/song-of-the-south-quotes/ and searching it for “grandmother” I found these two: ========================== [Johnny and his parents and Aunt Tempy are going to Johnny's grandmother's plantation for a visit] Johnny: [referring to his grandmother] Why don't she come to see us, like she did last spring? Sally: Well, because it... I thought you'd enjoy seeing the plantation. Johnny: Is Grandma mad at us? Sally: But of course not, Johnny. Whatever gave you that idea? Johnny: Well, Georgie says everybody's mad at what Daddy writes in the newspaper. ==================================================== Uncle Remus: [about Johnny] Miss Doshy, what us gonna do 'bout that child? Grandmother: I wish I knew. A grandmother doesn't account for much these days. Uncle Remus: Yes, 'm, it's a pity, too.
P.S.: I continue to be very pleased with my good headphones, which I got when I discovered how typical computer speakers narrow the audible bandpass. They make all the difference in the world for me. The Army figured I didn't have good enough hearing to pull a trigger in Viet Nam (significant high frequency hearing loss since childhood) and I don't think they have improved during the intervening half century or so. I understand that high frequency hearing loss is the most common kind among the mature. I also added in an inexpensive vacuum tube headphone amplifier, although it may not have been necessary.
BTW, did anyone here watch Bernie’s Town Hall on Fox News? I was curious to see the reported call and response segment with the audience, but didn’t feel like watching the whole hour.

New York Times: “From canapĂ©-filled fund-raisers on the coasts to the cloakrooms of Washington, mainstream Democrats are increasingly worried that their effort to defeat President Trump in 2020 could be complicated by Mr. Sanders, in a political scenario all too reminiscent of how Mr. Trump himself seized the Republican nomination in 2016.”
