Ice Falls

  1. Last night's "blizzard" only dumped about an inch or an inch-and-a-half of snow on Oak Park. (Granted there was 7-8" further north.) There were really, really high winds beginning around midnight, however.

The relatively light snowfall is good news as I head down to Union Station for the trip to Santa Rosa.

    1. Hurrah for the storm that came at the right time and on the right amount! It is just getting here. Rain presently will soon change over to snow, and we should end with 5-10" of snow. Nice.

  2. Did everybody tune in to watch NASA's Mars InSight Robot land just now? VERY COOL!!! Talk about the ultimate Go Live event! What a joy to watch pandemonium break out in the Jet Propulsion Lab when their years of hard effort turned out to be perfectly successful!!

  3. I was off getting educated--but will remedy the difficulty soon!

  4. WOO HOO! TJ Cox (D) slipped past incumbent Rep. David Valadao (R-CA) to take the lead in the country’s sole remaining undecided congressional race, positioning Democrats to pick up their seventh House seat in California and 40th nationwide, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Case for Beto O’Rourke [Click] Well, he’s young (albeit older than JFK) and appears to have made miscalculations in the conduct of his Senate race that could well be fatal in a Presidential campaign. But the dynamics augur to be very unusual this time around.

And now to investigate the Mars landing.

Oh--and the fog burnt off very quickly this morning.
