47 (days 'til Election Day): Woolly Bear says Very Mild Winter

Folklore says that if the rusty brown band is wide
(more segments), then it will be a mild winter.
The more black there is, the more severe the winter.

    1. That's right. We need Elizabeth Warren where she is, persisting in the Senate.

  6. Speaking of pirates, earlier this week I read Swallows and Amazons and now am enjoying the sequel, Swallowdale. Don't think I read these books as a youngster, but am delighted to be remedying the oversight. They are delightful yarns, holding my attention far better than any other books I've read in ages.

    1. One of the zine for an APA I'm in is called "Amazons and Swallows Forever." I'd never realized this was a call-out to a book. What is the book like?
