“President Trump pushed his lawyers in recent days to try once again to reach an agreement with the special counsel’s office about him sitting for an interview, flouting their advice that he should not answer investigators’ questions,” the New York Times reports.
“Mr. Trump has told advisers he is eager to meet with investigators to clear himself of wrongdoing, the people said. In effect, he believes he can convince the investigators for the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, of his belief that their own inquiry is a ‘witch hunt.’
Yeah, a hefty chunk of that gigabuck came from yours truly. *wry grin* Sis is always aghast to see on my credit card statement how many pages, yes that's pages, of charges are to ActBlue. I tell her, only half in jest, that I'm going to be singlehandedly responsible for turning Congress blue this year. I'll be glad when the election is over and I have a few months to pay down my credit card before starting all over again for the 2020 cycle.
I haven't YET made a really huge number of contributions, mostly because I've been too busy to figure out exactly which candidates I should be supporting. And that's especially true for candidates that still face primaries. But my September and October contributions will presumably be in the high three figures, if not four.
