The latest Cook Political Report ratings find 62 highly at-risk House seats — 56 currently held by Republicans and just 6 held by Democrats. The everyday economic impact — higher prices, businesses laying off employees — would blunt any positive impact of tax reform. Well, the trade war is here. Combine that with rising gas prices four months before Election Day.” ============================ Lobbying Firms Planning for Democratic Takeover[Click]
And now to the PO to pick up a shipment of good watercolor paper. And on another note, I have discovered a really good and very selective grass killer. I was apprehensive that it might damage other monocots such as iris and daylillies, but it doesn't bother them at all. It even kills bermuda grass and nutgrass.
I have absolutely nothing of import to say, I'm too busy trying to hang onto my sanity which is doing its best to escape. But here's something I found amusing:
New dog breeds. The following cross breeds are now recognized by the Kennel Club - allegedly!
Collie + Lhasa Apso Collapso, a dog that folds up for easy transport.
Pointer + Setter Poinsetter, the traditional Christmas pet.
Pekingese + Lhaso Apso Peekasso, an abstract dog.
Irish Water Spaniel + English Springer Spaniel Irish Springer, a dog fresh and clean as the mountain air.
Terrier + Bulldog Terribull, not a good dog.
Bloodhound + Labrador Blabador, a dog that barks incessantly.
Malamute + Pointer Moot Point, owned by...oh,well, it doesn't matter anyway.
Collie + Malamute Commute, a dog that travels to work.
Deerhound + Terrier Derriere, a dog that's true to the end.
I remain partial to my theory of a larval parasitic infection of the brain; [Click] but that reflects my education and work experience. Trump didn't speak like that when he was in his thirties; there are a number of preserved TV interviews. Could certainly be Altzheimer's Disease.

ReplyDeleteUppity is as uppity does! I've been waiting for reinforcements for a very long time, and am not the least bit fussy about where they come from. --Alan
ReplyDelete"We meet today in freedom's cause
And raise our voices high;
We'll join our hands in union strong
To battle or to die.
Look, my comrades, see the union
Banners waving high;
Reinforcements now appearing,
Victory is nigh.
See our numbers still increasing,
Hear the bugle blow;
By our union we shall triumph
Over every foe.
Fierce and long the battle rages
But we will not fear;
Help will come whene'er it's needed.
Cheer, my comrades, cheer!"
