  1. Fresno weather[Click] “…this July heatwave isn’t all that strange…’It’s a pretty normal part of living in central California…’” Starting to get a trifle burdensome, though.

And Wow! The editorial page of the Fresno Bee has not a single pro-Republican piece, which is absolutelhy extraordinary. Lead opinion from the Washington Post: “Documents show Trump, Nunes working to deceive. Letters to the Editor: “Let Janz run against Nunes,” “Remove Trump as soon as possible,” “Calling Trump a traitor,” “[US should] Not [be] aligned with Russia,” and “Trump like ‘Caine Mutininy’ character[s] (Captain Queeg and Thomas Keefer).”
Ag association leaders oppose proposed immigration bill that would dramatically reduce their workforce. The political cartoon[Click] lays into “moderate” Democrats.

P.S.: I trust everyone here has received the e-mail from Bernie about the turnouts for progressive Democratic challengers in “red” states. Nice.

    1. Yes, it's pretty obvious the Dems are positioning both Kamala Harris and Cory Booker for candidacy. But Cory is pro-Big Pharma and well-paid for it. And Kamala Harris has a very shady corporate past. I have two pages of horrible positions she has taken, such as not releasing innocent men from prison because it would cut into the prison's earning for prisoners' work. She has REALLY done some horrible stuff.

    2. Harris is definitely a Clintonista, and although she has a well-earned reputation for effective work behind the scenes, I do not think she has either enough of a general political track record or in the Senate to attract my support. She does check off some "Democratic" identity politics items, but that is not enough for my vote.

    3. I am actually of the opinion that it's at least six months too early to begin thinking about who might be the Democratic presidential nominee. IMHO, there is a better than even chance that the person I'll be supporting a year from now isn't even being mentioned this summer.

    4. It is thoroughly speculative at this point, that's for sure.

    1. Farther down in the article: "Georgia Democrats will not simply be sitting down with popcorn and enjoying the GOP fight on July 24, however. They are holding congressional runoffs in two north Atlanta districts that are long shot but not impossible targets for November."
