I forgot all about Downton Abbey being on at the same time as the debate. (Brilliant move there, Dems.) So I all wait and watch the debate at 11pm, since I can sleep in tomorrow.
I watched Downton Abbey, then joined the debate half way through. Five minutes into the second half and I feel like if Sen. Clinton is the next President, I'll need to simply give up on politics. Just forget it. I'll turn my caring energies to my grandchildren and help prepare them to take on the concerns of this country when their adulthood comes. I am ready to give up on my own generation's ability to bring needed change. =Sigh=
Hi, listener; I was behind a firewall the past couple of days. If the package made it to Jericho, its fellows must have had time to reach their destinations.
I have not watched a presidential debate and don't plan to start now; but looking at the political news over the weekend I gained the impression that HRC is trying to gain the nomination by sheer nastiness. I cling to some hope that will go over like a lead balloon, and I hope Bernie doesn't respond in kind (I don't expect he will). I have no problem voting for a woman as President (I have done so in the past), but if I do so this year it will probably be for Jill Stein--or maybe Gloria La Riva, even though neither one has a snowball's chance in Hell and the latter is rather too far to the left for my tastes. I think I will watch the talk among Bernie, Killer Mike, Cornell West and Nina Turner before I hit the sack. I couldn't watch it live, but presume it is digitally immortalized.
There's a Dem debate tonight, in South Carolina. Anybody going to watch?
ReplyDeleteHoward is in Asia, but maybe he'll watch by satellite.
The Dem debate tonight is on NBC 9-11pm EST, replaying on MSNBC 11pm-1am EST
