Why have Democrats fallen in love with Bernie Sanders? [Click] Today’s opinion piece from The Guardian. Makes some good points, it does. Now to read listener’s huffpost link during the balance of my coffee break and then return to my work simulation. —Alan
Finished Little Lord Fauntleroy Last night, and found it a thoroughly delightful novel. It is really much more about the adults the child's life touches and how contact with him changes them than it is about him himself. But since it took me to the endof the book to work that out, young readers probably wouldn't spot it. I was startled to learn the book was published in 1886the same year as King Solomon's Mines by Rider Haggard. Somehow I just assumed FHB's books were all published around the turn of the century, like E. Nesbit's. Funny the groundless assumptions one makes. Anyhow, I loved Little Lord Fauntleroy and am glad I finally read it .
This evening I got a fundraising email from the DCCC that -- hold on! -- featured Bernie's speech about income inequality. I gave them an additional contribution, on top of my small monthly contribution, to show that this resonated with me.
Make waves like Dean!
