Watched the John Stewart video--the thing that struck me was the TV talking heads--asinine, fatuous, puerile--words fail. Walter Cronkite must be spinning in his grave. I was so shocked I didn't even note which networks they were on. If I didn't know before that we are doomed, I do now. Mussolini could hardly have dreamed of such a potent corporatist propaganda machine--without any need of government guidance!
Well, a check came in today, so I will send Bernie a little love.
BTW, I understand that Nicola Sturgeon is expected to be on the Today Show soon!
I thought Stewart's ribbing of Bernie speaking in front of a regatta sort of quirky, a little funny, and also too bad. The boats behind him weren't planned, they were just more people wanting to hear Bernie. The reason he spoke at the waterfront is that he saved that waterfront for us when he was Mayor of Burlington!! Until then it was just crisscrossed railway tracks and abandoned machinery, with NO access to the Lake at all! And such a Lake!!
