Actually, I'm most interested simply in seeing if you guys can access the link and, from the main page, go to the individual songs. Everything is set to public AFAIK but I need confirmation. Any comments on the songs themselves would be strictly frosting, though much appreciated.
The link from the blog doesn't seem to work--wrong syntax somewhere, maybe? Or maybe too much competition on my DSL line? Cutting and pasting the URL takes me to an account log-in page.
Well, duh! Of course you were sent to a log in page. Idiot that I am, I posted the URL for my catalog when I'm logged in. Sorry about that, fellas! After extensive searching, I can't find a way to display my catalog or even to search for people without being logged in, which means the person being shared with has to log in to. I'm sorry for the bother! Thanks for trying.
Weird. Clicking on the link brought up the catalog, but when I clicked on a song I got the log-in page. Except that after hitting "back" a couple of times, there was the song. And from then on, I could access any song without difficulty.
Waiting during recall repair on our car, then at the pizza parlor, I finished Max Beer's "The Life and Teaching of Karl Marx." The section at the end about economic theories required some real studying, but was well worth it. Some of it is dated and arguable, but much of it is very topical. Thomas Piketty ["Capital in the Twenty-First Century"] seems to have done little more that illustrate aspects of what Marx observed about the evolution of capitalism, its contradictions, and its crisis. Yes, this subject deserves my further attention.
Frances Hodgson Burnett's work *is* brilliant, and worthwhile, so you have good taste! I don't have much inclination for reading Marx, I'm afraid. I think I may have done a little too much studying over a couple of decades and now I want fewer words and intellectual pursuits. I am still reading Addie Pray by Joe David Brown.
I am merely, late in life, filling a gap in my formal education. Like studying Latin with Naomi when she was in middle school. Lifelong learning and all that.
I am unspeakably exhausted tonight, having had difficulty getting comfortable enough to fall asleep last night until 3:30am, then being wakened by VT*Grand at 7:00am!
Cutie kitties are first!
ReplyDeleteTen songs up at my SongSpace space, three with accompanying music files. More on the way.

Nope, get a login page. And for some reason the link here is not clickable -- had to paste it in a new tab.

DeleteFor that matter, I can't figure out how to search for people when you are logged in.

I on the other hand am currently reading The Lost Prince by Frances hodgson Bernette. Guess that shows how bright I am. *sigh*

DeleteHillary Clinton's campaign Spotify playlist [Click] Pardon me, but this impresses me as the most pathetic political campaign ploy I can remember.

P.S.: PLEEEZE TELL ME THAT BERNIE DOESN'T HAVE ONE!
I can't tell you, since I am essentially clueless what Spotify may be. Obviously not one of the cool kids. But that's no news.
