  2. The lunch went fine, since everybody else did most of the talking. :-) The Director picked up the whole tab, too! Plus they gave me a card with a gift card to the local bookstore. Rather nice! Afterward, I went and bought Art Supplies for oil painting: a few more brushes, a few more tubes of paint, some canvases, cleaners, and a new, locally-stitched art apron! Yayyyy!! :-D

    Good Day!!

    1. Sounds like a good day. Appropriate retirement gift for a librarian. And you'll have more time for your painting now.

The deadline that has kept me up so late the last few nights has been met. Another one a week from now, but that should be easier. (He says hopefully.)

    2. Thanks, Bill. Nice to hear your workload has lightened up a little!

Tomorrow is Town Meeting Day, and I am working at the polls. :-)

  4. One of the Trustees snagged that photo on a Monday, when the Library was closed. It's gorgeous!

I hear that my replacement is doing okay, though finding the pace really hard. She was director of the other library in town, but as that's one of those super small cute old libraries, it got much less traffic than this one. So her head is spinning, even though she has QUITE the leg-up to begin with. That kind of raises my self-esteem a bit.
