Free At Last! (As of 6:30pm tonight, listener became retired!)

With a little luck our volunteer will come in and I will be able to leave the Library in time to take in the Snowflake Bentley Symposium, which is taking place about 4 minutes away!  Mah*Sweetie will be there, too.  Hoping!!  (At worst, I'll miss about the first half of it.)

❄️ I GOT TO GO TO THE WHOLE SYMPOSIUM!!! ❄️

  2. Bill,it might be possible for the seller to give me his password; he didn't seem very cooperative though, or interested in helping. Sis thought maybe someone at an Apple store could unlock it... We'll see.

So you're a 1936 baby,eh? My Papa was born in 1936. You are also the same age as Engelbert.

    1. There weren't many of us born then, but apparently it wasn't a bad vintage.

Good luck getting the iPad unlocked. Didn't think of the Apple store because I don't deal with Apple. Rarely deal with any brick-and-mortar electronics store except RadioShack, which is going out of business.

And pretty soon there will be only one company in the country where you can buy major office supplies.

    2. Yeah, I saw that Radio Shack was going out of business. That's lousy!

  3. I'M HOME! :-) I'M RETIRED!! :-D And I got to leave the Library an hour and a half early and attend the entire Snowflake Bentley Symposium!!! It was wonderfully done!

I learned more about how snowflakes form, and learned that Wilson "Willy" "Snowflake" Bentley was appreciated by the weather folks in Boston. They sent him the weather map every day, so he could consider it alongside his data from the same day. He sent them his information and so much of what he was researching and discovering became part of early forecasting. Very cool.

  4. I just discovered from the University of Chicago magazine that Bernie Sanders and I are fellow alumni. He didn't arrive until a few years after I had left, so our paths never had an opportunity to cross.
