Comment on the last thread. I have a suspicion that, once the shock of Susan's news wears off, I'll start sobbing. On the other hand, her matter-of-fact determination is awe inspiring. Makes me feel pretty petty, complaining about my sore hip or whatever.
I think people make the word "cancer" too much of a bogeyman. As listener pointed out, Ally seems to have beaten a cancer that was supposed to be incurable. And breast cancer isn't bad if it's caught early enough. We all hope the sentinel node proves negative. If it does, there is no problem beyond the surgery -- not that I'd wish surger on anyone. And even if the node is positive, chemo should take care of all the bad cells.
Howard is first. And I'm trying to prioritize all the things I need to get done.
