  1. Just wanted to take the opportunity to say Howard is #1, so are listener's photos, and "Hi" to all 'cause I'm having a hard time getting into HEP for some reason I haven't yet figured out.

    1. So glad you got here tonight, even for a moment, Susan! Thanks for the kind remark, too.

These photos are from this time last year. The trees aren't yet this far along this year. So far we have daffodils and buds. The Shad (Serviceberry) just began to open today!

  2. Took a Full Moon Walk tonight with Mah*Sweetie. It was 65F and no bugs! Really nice.

I have two loved ones in San Diego near the fires there, where it's to reach 106F tomorrow, with wind, and no rain in sight. I feel wildly lucky to be in Vermont.

    1. Usually the weather in Southern California is so nice it's boring (I speak from experience). But you do occasionally get these Santa Ana (or is it Santana?) conditions. More usually in August than May, though.

  3. Still keeping very busy with work. Sort of have the feeling I'm getting on top of things, though. Except the main reason for that feeling is probably that the researchers are behind in getting us the data. Means we have more time to get our part done now but probably a big deadline crunch later.

  4. I seem to be gaining on things too, Bill. I had two court appearances scheduled in San Diego next Thursday, which was ambitious, but it was worth a try to save the Public Defender expenses. Today it turned out that there was not a courtroom available for the afternoon case. Oh, well.

Weather in the high nineties these here these days. Few cherries this year because of peculiar weather at the time the fruit would have been setting. They say the Ranier cherries are looking good, but the Bing types are in very short supply. We didn't have enough on our trees to justify covering them with netting to keep the varmints (possums? raccoons?) out.
