Howard is first. The weather? I'm not so sure. I can remember the days when 40F would have been a relief, even if cloudy and windy. In mid-May? Not so much.
Take care everyone! Our own tc in San Diego has been watching the progression of the fires. I know three people who live there who live within a few miles of the worst. One is currently in Florida on business while her husband is ignoring an evacuation order, so he can douse their house. Yikes!
So here's my situation… Today I spent two hours priming four old wooden doors for painting. Then I went to work. Tomorrow I will paint the doors and door frames, clean house, pack, and head to Maine for our D-I-L's graduation on Saturday. Back home that evening, because on Sunday we need to keep painting! Mah*Sweetie will paint the hallway stairwell, while I paint the upstairs hallway. On Monday we rip out the old carpet from the stairway, sand the trim and repaint. And take VT*Grand to dance class. On Tuesday, I have an all-day Library conference. On Wednesday I need to paint the interior of at least one closet, and poly a long windowsill. That evening, Youngest is coming for an overnight visit. On Thursday I need to paint the rail and bannister of the stairway. All because, on Friday the 23rd, we are having new carpet installed! I think the project calms down after that, at least!
Good Heavens, listener--I guess it goes without saying that you must be working in a lot of Wheaties and vitamins! That schedule sounds awfully ambitious. Don't over-do too much, hear?

ReplyDeleteStorms to the east of us, storms to the west of us, bridge already flooding and under flood warning. Think we'll get out of a big one this time. . . .

That's a lot of redecorating. Penny and I did that sort of thing 40 years ago, but I can't see myself doing it now.
