Our 4" of snow melted slowly all day but isn't all gone. We'll give it a day or two. It was pretty and the snow helped slow the flooding down just in time.
"Catreona4/15/2014 11:08:00 PM I'm not surprised. Portions of the Connecticut River are at or near flood stage too. Now, why can't we send all this pesky rain out to Alan?"

Anonymous4/17/2014 12:16:00 AM Tuesday I got caught up at work early, and we got out on the road soon enough we could get to our hotel in Scotts Valley (near Santa Cruz) while it was still twilight. Then this morning and a bit of the afternoon in court, then to our customary lodging in Berkeley for court in Oakland Thursday morning (I hope it doesn’t run over into the afternoon, but that wouldn’t surprise me). Typical Santa Cruz weather—foggy in the morning, clear sunny and warm later in the day. We got to the Bay Area during rush hour and anticipated a dreadful drive to Berkeley, but it wasn’t bad except for a spot near the Bay Bridge eastern approaches. Stopped at a pizza place on University Avenue in Berkeley that I and we had driven past many times over the years but not checked out; dandy pizza! I will be writing a good review for them in Tripadvisor.com. Also for our motel in Scotts Valley (a Best Western—I’ve never had a bad experience at a Best Western).
I had to do a fair amount of studying last night for court today, but tomorrow’s case is (as far as I can tell) a bog standard alcohol DUI; ten minutes’ review of records will be enough.
Howard is first.
ReplyDeleteSunny and chilly today. The forecasters were mistaken about there being no accumulation. The ground was white for most of the m o morning. Blah.

DeleteI'm packed for my trip to Minneapolis (well, OK, Bloomington). Now all I have to do is the work my client wants me to finish before I leave.
ReplyDeleteSee you Tuesday!
Safe travels, Bill!
