Winterberry (9)

  1. Deanlandia is wicked cold today!
At 8am it was -9F, but by noon it had warmed up to -5F.
The Arctic front is keeping the strongest snows south of us (take care, Cat!).

  2. Nine inches of snow accumulation as of this morning. Another couple of inches expected before it ends this evening (although it's semi-sunny at the moment). Predicted highs -- yes, I said HIGHs -- Monday and Tuesday are below zero. Both the amount of snow and the predicted cold are unusual but not exceptional

    1. Currently 9 degrees with light snow. Snow is predicted for tomorrow too but Saturday is forecast sunny. The forecast hasn't changed except for tweaking the numbers for several days. So, unless tomorrow's snow is particularly severe, we ought to be OK. It's been cold though, and tomorrow will be much more so. The forecast has been positive on that point for days too. Now they're predicting a high of 14 and a low of -6. Monday's the day to look forward to. Rain and snow but a high of a balmy 46. Practically shirt-sleeve weather. Tuesday is forecast sunny but with a high only of 16. Guess you can't have everything.

    1. Keep warm! Maybe you'll be in the comfortable 20s when we're frigid?
