Just submitted "World Enough and Time" to Analog via their electronic submission form. The verbiage says response time of about five weeks. So I should hear by the beginning of June at latest.
Maybe I'm morbid, maybe just practical; but my immediate thought on seeing the link to the electronic submission form was, Well, at least I don't have to pay to get a rejection. Good vibes greatly appreciated. Not altogether sure who the patron saint of writers is. I'm inclined to think maybe Thomas Aquinas or maybe Augustine of Hypo? But I'll check it out. Also a word to St. Jude might not come amiss?
Howard is as light in the ravine of political life.
ReplyDeleteThe sun is shining and Lilacs and Shad are opening their buds.

Why, then, is the breeze still icy?
Alan, like listener I enjoy your observations.

ReplyDeletePatrons of writers
Francis de Sales
John the Apostle
Lucy of Syracuse
Paul the Apostle
Think I'll go with John, the good old BD. I expect he has a lot of drag. I also love his writing.
Guess whose baby sister is mentioned in The New Yorker's Toast of the Town column? Look for Honore Ervin.

Sis is pretty excited.
DeleteIMO John is not only the best writer but also, not coincidentally, wrote the best stuff in the NT.
