Okay,
last Circus Train related photo: between the two ends of the building
is a real, working carousel! Admission is free. VT*Grand generally
rides on half the horses when we visit. ;-)
Sorry, Gov. Dean--you will have to take second place to merry-go-rounds today.
I do SO fondly remember the merry-go-round in the playground at my first school; unfortunately it had been removed the last time I visited. It was like the one linked below, except bigger (I think--everything was bigger then) and not colorful (all steel):
Took lots of foliage photos today using my Nikon D70, Sony H-20, and iPhone. But for some reason iPhoto on my Mac is only showing the photos I took before now which are no longer on my camera roll and not the new photos currently on my camera roll! So I can't import them. Somehow the Photo Capture application isn't functional either. I can bring the photos into my Mac via wifi, but saw nothing to click to import them. Idears?
listener--until you get it figured out, how's this for a workaround? If you can see the photos on your iPhone using your Mac, make a folder on the Mac desktop and drag the photos there using the mouse. Maybe you can even highlight/lasso and drag the lot of them at a single go. Then figure out where iPhoto keeps its photos (using Finder), and drag the folder there. Or go to iPhoto and open the folder without moving it. (It is safest to move it off the desktop.)
Had completely talked myself out of going to town; was just going to make a quick run to the local store. After I was in the car, it hit me, that that was just *crazy* EVERYTHING was going to cost MORE.
So I went to town.
Pretty day, and cold to cool. Never made it over 50º. Lots of trees turned, but still not much red. The Virginia Creeper was, of course, but the Dogwood was kind of muted. A few clumps of ox eye daisies, and banks and banks of lovely blue/lavender autumn asters. And the fields still very very green. I think Ma Nature is confused, lol!
Yay! Regular e-mail program working again--had some settings issues I worked through with a tech rep this morning, but right afterwards it seemed it wasn't working. Just had to get rid of a particular troublesome e-missive in the outbox. Could use web mail as a workaround in the meantime.

ReplyDeleteClarification: I am only having trouble importing the iPhone photos.

ReplyDeleteTake a look at the "Plans for Full Reusability" video
llistener: I remember visiting my second (elementary) school and noticing that in the interval they had lowered the ceilings...

I wonder how the Space X system would compare to Skylon:

No, that link isn't to a video...

Sorry, copied that from a post at 3.0, and didn't crop it. Pat had mentioned a picture of big bird, and Norman Rockwell's Thanksgiving picture. . . .
