Michelle Obama's DNC Speech Written at 7 Grade Levels Above Ann Romney's

Sweetie came home from work midday to work from home for the afternoon and ride herd on the kitties, so that I could go to work. This became extra necessary after Spinnaker barfed a couple times and nearly had to go back to the vet! So guess what happened: He got a call that we had 20 minutes to pick up my rose photo from the fairgrounds, as it hadn't been picked up on Tuesday or Wednesday as required! Canyoubelieve I completely forgot about it while tending the kitties!?! So he had to leave the kitties to go pick it up. Talk about layers of irony!
I still haven't had the time and focus to listen to the speeches. I watched the first ten minutes of Michelle Obama's speech yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow I can sit back and watch all the best together.
So, which should I watch? First Lady and President, of course. Whom in between? Not sure I have the stomach to listen to Bill Clinton. He's a great orator, of course, but I still haven't forgiven him for handing the Presidency to the Republicans, when he really did know better, knew what they were and what it could mean.
Ted Strickland. But I'm biased--he used to be our governor. Among other things, his speech reminded me that he really DOES know the bible, chapter and verse, being a former minister. And I think his speech was only ten minutes long.
I haven't listened to Clinton. Lots of people seemed to have good things to say about it, but it was also insanely long, apparently.
Boy -- reading the live convention threads over at Kos -- don't think I've *evah* seen this strong of a positive reaction from that crew. . . . Going to be hard to come back down tomorrow and get to work. . . .

Since Spinnaker has been fine since 9am, the vet figures it was in the normal range of little glitches after surgery. =Whew!=
DeleteAgree on that Whew! And irony, indeed. Good thing he was home, eh?
