  2. puddle, sure hope that Silly ol' Beau comes home soon. He's probably just sowing some oats on a warm Summer's night.

A 19 month old toddler boy went missing at dusk tonight in the town in NH where Sweetie grew up. They found him 4 hours later and he's back with his Mom and Dad now. =Whew!=

Hoping you a happy reunion too! ♥

  3. Boy came home about a half hour after the prayer request. Longest that he's ever stayed away. Guess it might have been sooner if I hadn't gone looking (starting the car is a dog attractant, lol!)(Alas, you can get 'em to come, but refuse to get close enough to grab. . . .) He came up onto the porch, I tossed a dog biscuit near my feet, he came, gobbled it up, and before I could grab him, he rushed by me into the house. Phew!

As I was about to come back and post his return, discovered my phone line was officially OUT. While I was trubbleshooting, da boy went upstairs, and to bed. So I joined him.

Thanks for the prayers, all: they worked, eh?!!

  4. Microsoft tech support is certainly erning thier $99. The tech spent 6 hours yesterday evening using remote control to work on the computer, and it's still not done. They're sending me a disk that will let them finish the job.

    1. Any sort of perk or certificate for such a long wait?

    2. listener ~~ I'm just grateful that they're willing to put in the time and effort to fix what turned out to be a much bigger problem than appeared on the surface. At no extra charge. That $99 for premium service looked like a lot at first, but turns out to be cheap.

  6. Thanks for your comments about my family scandal, everyone. I'm fine, but it does take a bit of adjusting. This comment from a canadian correspondent of mine:

"Lucky you. Not many people have the distinction of being able to claim a scandal in their lineage, not unless you’re a royal."

It's no reflection on me or my father; the parties responsible paid a considerable price, and everyone involved has long since passed away. But still pretty amazing to be able to winkle out the truth. Only a few years ago it would have been impossible.

Gotta run; work at the hospital this weekend.

  8. Alan, as regards taking all of this in, let there be no hurry. After all, it's been waiting to be taken in for quite a few years.
