Clouds dwarfing Vermont's highest peak...

  1. Blessed be the Howard, who brought us here.

Kiddle's arriving around noon to make up for the shortened Memorial Day Weekend (his idear, not mine). Going to be bringing his dad with him. A Fathers' Day celebration?

He's dreaming of chipmunk traps because some ate all his broccoli in his home garden. Here, it seems to be the deer doing all the damage, though this year, they've let the day lilies alone -- go figure. *THIS* year, they've absolutely ravaged the tomatoes, which they have never bothered before. And the strawberries, which I've never had before.

Meanwhile, I've gotten the kitchen floor leveled and almost finished nailing, ready for finishing. The filled in area where he took out the tree window two years ago. I've left the last bit unnailed, so he can look at the spongy under layer and see if there's a way of remediation. I'll be working at taping and plastering the wall/window above.

And THEN I'll be able to bring down the desk from my bedroom, and move the computer, and rearrange the living room. No rest for the wikkid, eh?

    1. Around here the only plant eaters we need worry about are the bunnies. Who mostly but not entirely seem satisfied with grass that we can spare. And Morticia-cat seems determined to keep the bunny population down, of which Penny does not approve. She says leave the bunnies for the coyotes.

  3. Glad for the good kitty news, listener.

We could use some healthy golden retriever vibes around here.
