  3. Let the boy in around nine. Blocked off the upstairs for the time being. So he was sitting on the stairs, and noticed the dog in the mirror over the fireplace, and started to growl, softly. I don't think he understood why I was laughing so hard. . . .

  4. I'm sure not. He was probably saying, "That's one handsome dude."

  6. Off to see the wizard. Bun looks fine. Everybody's fed, the chicken's in the crock pot, the gas tank's nearly full. All's well wit' da whirl. . . .

  8. You send good vibes!
Coughed up some more of that lovely green music this morning,
and have been breathing better since.
    Hurrah for expectorant!

  10. Super tired, though, after a rough night.
Sure wish this wasn't a work day, but I'll survive.
Gonna try to grab a power nap before I go.

So, I sat down for 25 minutes of silence and about 4 minutes later I got a call from a woman from a church in NH asking me to lead a quiet day for their women's group in May. Being sick and the last two retreats I agreed to having collided with my being sick, I have to say I'm disinclined. We'll see, but I don't feel an inner Nudge to do it, and that's what matters most.

  11. The moon will be full (by a half hour) as it begins to rise at 5:17pm (my time).

  12. Hi from the Library!

  13. I believe that at least one of the reasons people have dogs is to see pure unmitigated joy on their return on the part of someone, lol!

Got there on time, got the chest Xray. It was good. Waited a good bit over an hour for Dr. Jones. Did workups with the nurse and his resident before. And the woman doing the study. The doc likes the Xray, and thinks I'm about right on schedule, that improvements come slowly, but steadily, and he is not concerned about the place I'm at just now. And truth told, neither am I. If I'd been *this* good before, I'd never have seen anyone about it, so. . . .

Hair, he thinks malnutrition dating back to before first ER. Hip pain, he doesn't think is related to the surgery (neither do I). He's not had experience with the leg swelling, but I DO think it's related, but agree that me and my primary care physician should be the ones dealing with it. Follow up in a year, with barium swallow. Happy camper here.

  14. Excellent News, puddle!
I'm delighted to hear you're doing so well! ♥

That was me earlier. That was the first post I ever posted from my iPhone! LOL!
I still have to figure out how to log in. I could see where, but couldn't get the tiny keyboard to appear on the screen at that point so that I could type in my address. Ah well. I'll figure it out yet.

  15. The moon was just barely over the mountain as I drove down my dirt road and home. Absolutely gorgeous. Weather today was wonderful! Bright and warm. And everything's greening, and pansies blooming in Charlottesville!

    And snow tomorrow. . . .

  16. Went out just now to check on the moon; sky all clouded over, but there is a faint light were the moon must be.

Medico says the injury is to the cartilage in my knee; take it easy, be careful, it will get better. Probably from a sudden twisting. I tore up the cartilage in both legs back not quite forty years ago; guess I can be forgiven not remembering just what it felt like. Maybe fifteen years ago a different but related injury. Gonna be all right.

Gotta study up for court in Hollister tomorrow; we depart at 0700 hrs. Should be a simple enough case for me. First thing to study is how to get to the courthouse!

  17. And I certainly hope you are feeling better by the time you read this, listener!

  18. Alan, I'm relieved to hear it's "just" a matter of being careful, and no surgery is needed!
    Safe travels tomorrow.

I'm not going to be well for a bit yet. They did say this lasts three weeks, and I'm only on day 15.
