That "finally" having to do with the amount of time I've had to work to get to this page. The whole world seems frozen this morning!! (Especially my internet connection, lol!)
I need someone to do me a favor. It could be two someones--one to make a candle page, and one to post it to Facebook. I need a visual representation of good vibes coming my way today. Scrambling to get ready for my class, and nervous about it.
If anyone is able to do this--the Facebook part--please keep it vague. Renee Marie, aka Renee in Ohio has a big day today and is nervous about it. You can wish her well/tell her you're thinking about her by lighting a virtual candle here...
Letting the pain meds decide when they should be taken. The shoulder pains seem pretty much gone, the signal pain now is the incision near the belly button. It's showing up at about the 8 hour mark. Which means I'm at half the pain meds that I was taking when I left the hospital. Seems like progress.
My sweet upraod neighbor is going to do some backup grocery shopping in town for me tomorrow. Catfood and soda crackers, lol! She's been consistent and persistent: the kind of offer most likely to be taken up, 'cause it *feels* sincere. . . . She's good, she's really good. . . .
listener, that is the best of news about your Sweet Baboo's job!!! Massive hugs all around! I'm with Alan on wanting to know all about it as soon as prudent.
BTW overnight lows are projected to be a balmy 12-18,considerably warmer than last night.By the end of the week we should be back into the 40s, where we were on New Year's Day. In fact, that day was positively warm at 48.It's all in your perspective, I suppose. The guy from Habitat who called today was very chatty and personable. Told me he was in LA where the high was scheduled to reach 78. Can you imagine?I had a real struggle with major envy at that point. 8)
Good news about Charlie. Only, Lord help us, that boy doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut. He's right. Everything he says is true, but I swear he brings trouble upon himself. What possessed him to give an interview and discuss the details of the settlement? Heaven only knows what trouble *that* will get him into.
He'll be a software engineer working days, like normal people do, and just over in South Burlington, so about a half hour from home. Best of all, he'll be working with our eldest! It's not a "direct report" relationship for either of them, so totally kosher. We're all pretty excited! Waiting on the official written offer, but that's due to arrive tomorrow. Meanwhile, all the background checks are being done. At some point he has to take a drug test, which is just a formality in this case. But he hopes it's sooner as opposed to later so he can get back on his cold meds! LOL!
Well, as I don't appreciate weather warmer than about 72, I'm not very envious. I'll stay up here with my beloved sub-zeros that ward off all the poisonous spiders, snakes, scorpions and whatnot, and help to kill off certain bacteria each year. :-)
Cat, that is exactly what I've always thought. I hope listener is correct, but his relationships have been so completely and unremittingly adversarial.... He should know by now, certainly, that he can't keep poking them with a sharp stick and expect them not to answer in kind.
Finally!! Howard (another wise guy) is first most!

ReplyDeleteGotta run.
I think I was able to light a candle for you, even though I got that "system error" message when I tried to return to the candle page.
ReplyDeleteMy internet/phone line/computer has been severely out of sync today. *Did* find Bill's candle during one of the brief up times. . . .

ReplyDeleteI liked the way you said that. :-)
ReplyDeleteHe may have given the interview before he signed the agreement, leaving it exempt.
ReplyDeleteOne can hope!
That's wise, puddle!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am dearly devoted to your uproad neighbour!!
Yah, aren't they nice?!
ReplyDeleteThey were posing atop the piano at the church where I went to pray, while a clergy friend's daughter was being buried.
Alan, Cat & all y'all....
